Final Project: Animated 1 Page visual novel
Duration: Week 14 - Week 15
Project 3: Animated 1 Page visual novel
Continuing from Project 3, based on the selected story, create a ONE PAGE introduction of your visual novel or comic to your readers… with at least ONE animated panel.
The challenges are: 
  • Continue with the same story and design aesthetics from Project 2 
  • Work only from one paragraph of the story for the 1st page.

I noticed that most of the background of animated comic will be animated. The animation will not be too much but will always repeat.

Before I animated the eyes in my poster, I confused on the way on animated it. Hence, I found some references via online.

There are some options of my background color and I hesitate on it. I had asked my classmates to give some suggestions to me. At last, I decided to use black as my background color of my visual novel page as it is dark and match with my cover page.

In order to create animation, I need to copy the artboard and make some changes for each different artboard in Adobe illustrator. Lastly, the total pages of my artboard is 9 pages.

After export the 9 pages from Adobe Illustrator, I open it in Adobe Photoshop and create motion on it. I choose 7 fps for my animated.

Reflection
For final project, I studied on how to create visual novel page based on the previous story that I choose by using the same style. Besides, I also apply the animation techniques on it. It is an interesting project for us to practice and master our skills on both Adobe application which is Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. I really appreciate that all the things I learnt and satisfied on all the outcome I have during the whole journey.
