Feedback

Week 12
General Feedback: There was no feedback this week due to the public holiday, but additional class documents were provided for us to review.

Week 13
Specific Feedback: Dr. Hayati suggested a title idea based on a different topic area and guided me on the next steps

Week 14
Specific Feedback: Dr. Hayati mentioned that I did not need to incorporate elements from my previous dissertation since the title and area are different. I should focus more specifically on the comparative aspect rather than the impact of Gestalt principles.

Reflection

Personal Experience
Throughout my journey of learning this module, I have experienced a wide range of emotions. When encountering problems, such as lacking ideas and direction for writing research and articles, I often felt stressed. However, I was fortunate to have a supportive lecturer who consistently provided clear and useful advice and suggestions, enabling me to continue my writing. I felt immense satisfaction when I completed all of the writing tasks from scratch. I believe I effectively utilized TGCS 1, which focuses on discipline-specific knowledge, to deeply understand and learn about the specific field of Gestalt principles in e-commerce mobile applications.

Research Journey (Observation)
From this module, I recognized the importance of utilizing online tools like Google Scholar to gather relevant information before embarking on research. I applied TGC 3, which involves thinking and problem-solving skills, as I navigated through selecting a research topic, identifying research problems, and determining the primary data collection method. The dedication of time to research became apparent due to the extensive information I needed to find, read, and comprehend. Moreover, writing articles and dissertations is very formal, requiring adherence to specific guidelines and rules to meet the requirements. It took time to learn and verify these before writing.

Discoveries (Findings)
I understood that the research process involves various essential steps. Researchers systematically decide on a research topic, develop the problem statement, research problems, and research questions. They explore relevant articles for inspiration and plan and implement research methods to test their results. Collecting and analyzing data, followed by drawing conclusions, are integral steps in the research process. Every step is crucial and interconnected, emphasizing the importance of a systematic approach to achieve meaningful results. Additionally, researchers must consider how to convey the knowledge they need to express and the points that can be discussed with readers to ensure comprehension. I discovered that researchers need to write articles from the reader's point of view and not solely from the researcher's perspective.
